At the moment I have approximately ZL1 power (give or take 2-3%), and the difference on the drag strip between my car and a stock SS is what you see below (sorry, pic is a little dark, it's a rear dashcam snapshot).

However, it isn't like my SS was slow or clunky in stock form, the supercharger adds power, but it isn't that whole world of difference that you might be expecting. Honestly, I never had a problem with the A8 either, auto mode WOT shifts are crisp, downshifting in perf shift mode are also fine, the only difference I see is paddle reaction time, which sucks a bit, but you shouldn't even try to use manual mode anyway.

All this is to say your main problem at the moment is between the steering wheel and the seat, not under the hood, and this is why I suggested test driving a ZL1, but again, it's your time and money

As far I’ve seen and read, it looks like an A10 ZL1 would be the perfect car for me, regarding the instant response from the pedal, the whine, the raw power I’m looking for, and it makes you feel like you’re more in in control. The A8 auto mode doesn’t respond well because of the pedal response and it doesn’t do what you ask, that’s why I always put it in manual mode, I also don’t wanna deal with a clutch pedal, Incase people ask me why I didn’t get a manual haha [emoji23] it’s not my thing to be dealing with, especially in Florida traffic at times, to be honest, I truly think the (A10) ZL1 is the best performance car for the money right now.
