I had the stock tune at first and the car was amazing. Drove like stock and was a blast on the street. However, I didn’t have the stock tune long enough to do anything with it. I remember we had a dyno and it was running 6-7psi. Then my craziness took over and all hell broke loose and more upgrades got underway.
To the OP, I was with you SC’d Mustangs and Vettes before the Camaro. You know the illness. You will see many people on this forum who are passionate about the choice they made. They believe they made the “right” choice so they will fight to defend their decision.
Reality is, there are a bunch of nice options and the best move is to find the tuner you want to work with, discuss your goals and objectives and then go with it.
I started on the Camaro knowing how bad the Mod fever can get from my other cars. I know what it was like to take a car too far...and my wife wouldn’t ride in it. Now I took the Camaro a little further than planned, but it’s great. I can drive it daily or at the track. Fun times.
