It actually matters to a lot of folks.
Like I said, the A10 is a better choice for those staying stock no doubt. Hell it's a good choice either way. I wouldn't buy a A8 if I wasn't going to tune it. So it comes down to what the goals are. For somebody looking at a 6th gen to mod for straight line racing, a 2016 A8 would be a solid starting point.
I only commented on this thread because I read posts saying don't buy a A8 blah blah which is a BS blanket statement. The A8 is fine depending on what you do with it.
