I just did some quick napkin math on a LS3 build 3rd gen
The way I would want it would run $40K
Heck for that you could get a C6 Z06

And actually you can build the equivalent C4 for $30K if start with a manual car
No trans or rear end needed is main difference.

But gee for $30K I bet you could find a gen 5 Z28
Or a really nice C5 Z06 with some upgrade budget.

So either one is a tough sell for me at this point.
