If all you want is something that looks good for a daily, you are better off with the 3LT as others have said. It gets good mileage and burns regular gas.
Since we have 4 vehicles and 3 drivers, I have another vehicle available on the rare occasions where we get snow and/or ice on the road.
But, unless there is snow and/or ice on the road, I drive the ZL1 my 18 miles to work in RTP.
Love it. Is it practical? Hell no. As I stated earlier, I don't care. I enjoy driving this beautiful beast.
Since I work from home 2 days a week and in the office 3 days a week, I only put 9,000 miles on her the first year. I have had her a little over a year and a half now and have just eclipsed 13,000 miles. So, getting ready to do an oil change, trans flush with Royal Purple Synchromax, and another diff fluid change (did the initial at 2000).
But, all that said, if you want a 2SS, then get it. The only thing about that decision that you will regret over time may be the amount you are paying in gas.
And I second what another poster said about mag ride. It is definitely worth it.
Whatever you decide, post pictures when you get it.
Cheers!
