Another rookie mistake, stalled the car really bad
On the stop sign, I stalled the car. As it stalled, i noticed that the shift lever started shaking really violently until it popped in to neutral from first. Ill be honest, this is the 3rd or 4th time i have stalled the car in the last 4 or 5 months of ownership as i am new to driving a stick but all those previous time, the shift lever never shook violently and the car never popped in to neutral, is that a cause for concern? The car drove normally after. Additionally, the chevy mechanic i spoke to mentioned that they have to replicate the issue before they can open the transmission. I hope i didn't mess up the transmission. I'm not sure if this was related to an event yesterday where i thought i had the car in first but it was probably wasnt engaged correctly and i had slight grinding and it popped in to neutral. So these are a few events that have happened but this doesn't happen under normal driving i suppose. Any ideas?
