Especially with any chance of rain.

I was able to find 1/2 price sticker PSC2s in 305f/315r that I used for a trip from LA to Laguna Seca, I needed them to last 2 track days and additional miles to SF and back.

I'm getting some new 345 PSC2s and I'll pair these with the 315s in front. I'll report back how that combo works, that's a lot of rubber.

I'm not much of a road tripper, so I don't take those factors into consideration, since I specifically mentioned the F1S3R is a better "track" tire.

I've got caught in Miami's infamous torrential downpours once and the stock tires even at full tread depth is sketchy to drive on.

My biggest complaint about the PSC2's are that, they are only good for 10-15 fast laps when they are brand new. After those laps, you will never get as much grip from the tires again. The F1S3R is almost as sticky down to the cords. At least this is what I observed.

Both F1S3R and PSC2's are great for being predictable and don't suffer from getting greasy when they start getting a bit too hot.
