Hey guys,

Just pulled the splitter from my 2017 1LE and decided to write this guide because I literally couldn't find one on the site. This will just be a super quick guide for noobs so that they can get the part off without ruining their car (not everyone who has these cars is a pro with mods).

Tools Needed:

Dolly Jack
Two Jack Stands
Drill and bit set
Screwdriver Set
Old Credit Card and Sanding Sponge
Bug/Tar Remover or WD40


Steps:

1. Jack the car up and position stands to provide enough clearance
2. Get under car and remove the 9 or so black bolts that secure the lip.
3. Grab your drill and put a small sharp bit on it, drill into the 4 or so rivets and pop them through (dont overdo the bit size)

4.(Hard Part)

Grab an old credit card and a 3M sanding sponge (or any sandpaper that you have laying around) and file down the card for a few minutes until sharp. Use the back side of the card against the car and start from one side and gently pull the lip/Splitter back while you use your credit card to gently cut the 3M auto tape. This part is a bitch so just work it slow to not cause scratches.

5. Use WD-40 or Bug/Tar Remover to saturate the residual tape.
6. Use the sharp credit card to gently peel the tape (or use a razor, your call)
7. Clean the surface thoroughly before re-installation of your aftermarket lip.
8. Prep new lip with 3M auto foam tape.
9. Mount new lip.
10. Re-Rivet the four or so holes that take the rivets.
11. Install the black screws.

Done.
