Because it looks terrible and does nothing other then pump artificial sound into the cabin of the vehicle....ricer shit. It was GM's attempt to give customers that "air sucking sound" you get from installing a CAI yet still pass CAFE standards by keeping the engines noises at a minimum on the exterior.
