But I have had tires replaced 5 times and patched twice under the tire & wheel replacement warranty I bought when I got the car. So every tire has been replaced at least once. Two for broken steel belts, two for side wall ruptures and I can’t remember why for the 5th, but it was likely one of those two things. The patches were for nail-in-tread. The good thing is I haven’t had to spend for tires....yet. The bad thing is the wear is uneven, since some tires are newer than others.

I am hitting the 15k soon and never had a flat. If I remember well I had probably 3 flats in my entire driving life and we are talking about almost 2.000.000km
The next shoes will be Vredestein almost as good as MSP4 on dry but better in the rain.
