Cars are very low emissions right now, we have much more pressing environmental concerns nowadays. Meanwhile, I think people have a tougher time affording these vehicles, or certainly vehicles they actually want. As said often, we now have an entire generation out in the work force absolutely strapped with ridiculous education costs (which is a whole separate political problem) who can't seem to even move out of their parents' houses, let alone buy expensive, cutting edge tech new cars. It's a shame we can't keep some of the vehicles simpler and more affordable.
While I kinda agree I do gotta think that in the very near future we're going to see drastic changes in our environment IF we don't make some drastic changes to how we treat our environment TODAY. I love the Camaro. But I love being able to breathe clean air, drink clean water, and not have to worry about toxins and cancerous chemicals all up in our atmosphere. We are facing an overpopulation crisis in our major cities within the next 20-40 years and something has to be done now.

Technically, all that any of us who aren't in board rooms can do is speculate. Only the execs know for sure. And quite honestly, I doubt even they know what they're doing for 2024. It seems like it is all based on what stance our emissions regulations take in the next few years. At least that is what I took from it.
