No dealer would leave greater sales volume of lower priced examples on the table to realize less profit on fewer sales of optioned out examples. They buy what they have a business sense will sell. And you can always factory order.

How many consumers do you think really struggled that much over turbo-4 vs V6? When Chevy ditches the V6 in the Camaro, it'll be for the same reason Ford did in the Mustang: too few other models used it to make it economical. Ford doubled down on EcoBoost years ago, while Chevy's latest high feature V6 line is slowly diminishing but still pretty widely used.
