Not 100% sure what I want to do.
I would lean toward the shop that recommended LT headers and LT4 fuel system.

If you pump more air and fuel in to the engine you have to give it a place to go.

power through efficiency.

The Stock fuel system is a limiter of the supercharger and will hold you down to 570-580 RWHP with a good tune.

The LT-4 system will allow a lot more header room and protect your engine from broken rings.
