Welcome! Always nice to see more people interested in the 4 cylinder cars for auto-x/HPDE. Are you wanting to eventually modify the car and bump classes? Or try to get the most out of sticking with D-Street? My car currently is in SM which around here is a very competitive class. I personally road course more than auto-x, but still occasionally get out there. I run a 275/35/19 and I have CTS-V2 6 piston brakes and the wheels clear just fine. In fact even our 18" drag skinnies fit over the brakes, so you should have no worries there.
If you are looking to modify and bump classes, the LTG takes very kindly to mods. Biggest thing that wakes them up is a tune. Past that typical bolt ons, and E85 if you have it in your area. The LTG has a bit of a poor reputation for piston failure, but as long as you use good gas, good oil (Mobil 1 ESP), and good spark plugs (Denso ITV24's) you'll be solid.
I've never had an issue with ICE mode, but I know others have. I'll let those who've experienced it to chime in. Feel free to reach out anytime if you have any questions!
