With that said, C8 will likely (at least in the beginning) run exclusively DCT. Probably a Tremec TR-9007 or 9008 (7 or 8 gear respectively). Given the TR- 9007 utilization in the GT500, one has to ask how long do you believe that it will take for a DCT gear to find it's way into Camaro? Most likely, Chevrolet will trickle one down to Gen 7, providing that the brand survives.

IMO, in a couple of years, the latest and greatest TC autos will be relegated to trucks and SUVs. As modern performance cars will be unable to compete against the newest DCTs and PDKs.

The guys/girls who grabbed an A10 hot off of the presses (2016/17) were/are the greatest beneficiaries of that (new) technology.

Enjoy the ride my friends. There will always be a faster car. We can all rest assured that newer and MUCH faster cars are being engineered by GM, Ford and Chrysler as I write this.

Honestly, fantasizing about a Gen7 1LE, Alpha II, LT5 w/DCT does give me a bit of a chubbie.

Until that becomes a reality... I am unreservedly sated to use my left foot for something other than a fulcrum against heavy Gs.

Well said! everyone enjoy what you like. I chose a manual knowing it was not as fast as a A-10 but because I find it more involving. There will always be something faster, easier, newer.
