Or they could just come up with brand new names & not dust off old ones.
The old lineup, from big to small was Fleetwood, Sedan de Ville, Coupe de Ville, Seville. Before that it was Fleetwood, Sedan de Ville, Coupe de Ville, El Dorado.

Now the thing that makes me scratch my head is, I have a friend in Cadillac Dealership Management that has a ‘73 El Dorado convertible. I was at his house one day when he was driving an assigned Escalade ESV. The Suburban-based Escalade. The El Dorado, which was the small Cadillac in its day, was longer than the Escalade ESV. He had to kiss the back of the garage with it to get the garage door closed.
