Best windshield mount detector is the Escort Max 360c. R7 will have longer range detection, but having a quiet detector is better. You don't need 4,800 feet of range. 2,000 is plenty. Having good BSM filtering is critical and eliminates the annoying falsing. Also GPS lockouts are also important. They will auto learn and lockout unwanted signals using GPS. The Max 360c has significantly better BSM filtering than both V1 and the new R7 with GPS lockouts. The Max 360c has wifi built in, so you can get automatic updates if you connect it to your hotspot or home wifi signal.
