It comes down to personal preference - the main benefit to the dry filter is that they are easier to clean and maintain. With oiled filters you would need to wash your dirty filter with a detergent and purchase a servicing kit with oil. For the dry filters you can simply tap the dust out of the filter and vacuum from the outside to clean it.
