As for leaving gas in your car:
This comes from the ethanol content as it absorbs moisture (water) and ruins the gas.
Torco won't help.
Boostane acts as a stabilizer by neutralizing the effects of ethanol water absorption.
Race Gas often has zero ethanol and has a longer shelf life than regular pump gas.

I've been told by many people that leaving high octane leaded race gas in your car is a bad idea between seasons, etc. They recommend draining the tank or end up with weird residue--I'm not referring to E85, this is high octane petroloeum like C16. Never tested this myself, and maybe these numerous people were all wrong. Lots of misinformation out there.
