Karmatourer: hahaha, thanks!
To those wondering about the deposit, there will be a trade in for a car we own outright in addition to a cash down payment, probably around 7 grand, in total around 20.
IneedAZ: I live 1/2 way between Houston and Galveston. It rains, but the roads where I am at are pretty awesome. Good call though!
TheMailMan0: Credit Cards, no way. Loan is very very possible.
ST1LE: Doctor of Physical Therapy. See above for down payment. I am adamant regarding getting a new car. I want to know how every mile was driven in addition to how the motor was broken in. That's one reason I'm not going for a Z06/ZR1. My 04 Terminator was bought used and I found out later that there were nitrous "pills" in the fuel rails. I don't care if it's CPO or not, they aren't going to disclose aspects like that, if that makes sense?
LT1Greg: The powertrain will be out the window, however, an after market warranty like the one on the ATI website is possible.
Gunkk: To each their own, and I appreciate the input! However, my previous Z was hilariously quick compared to a stock ZL1. After 7 1/2 years of school, I want a brand new low-mid 130mph car in the 1/4 that drives really mild, hence no cam, no heads.
I know you won't use it all on the street other than "spirited driving." I also have a 1/4 mile track very close and really want to do 1/2 mile events. I'd rather have it and not need it/use it, then want it and not have it.
Thanks everyone for the input!
