There are piles of data. Heads cam records between the two are a second apart. Bolt on automatics have been faster than heads cam manuals. Looked down on? Ummm... ok. Guess I really have no clue about that either. I go to the strip constantly and have never seen that.
The only time they are even somewhat close is stock vs stock
I’ve always owned manual till now and can drive them just fine. No regrets with the a8.
For sure gm should offer both. Manuals are fun to drive no doubt. Give people a choice. I don’t find the new autos boring though. Far different from the old slush boxes in every way

LOL.. I was going to reply but I think you about covered it..
I do agree as well they should build both. However, I can't wait to drive a new Corvette with the dual clutch auto.. That's got to be a rush.
