Another vote for track day.
I made a post about this a couple years ago, so I won't rehash the whole thing. But, I did a track day where I drove a Lambo Aventador in the morning, and my 100% stock (even 1yo stock tires) 2017 SS. And my SS was .1 second faster through a high-speed "esses" portion of the track (no match on the straights, though).
Mods make a fast car. Track days make a fast driver.
