If you track your car I think it's a must. I just did the front clip everything forward of the windshield + mirrors, minus the splitter.
I also used a combo of Xpel tracwrap and Track Armor track tape on my first track weekend. I learned why the Xpel tape is more expensive (a lot)--thicker and much better adhesive.
