The OLM system definitely can tell a difference when you are running E85. I would say the interval in which it tells you to change the oil reduced almost 50% in relation to mileage.

The guy that has apparently done far more research then you and learned that it's high octane(101-105 depending on E Percentage), when properly tuned will yield +25whp over 93 octane NA. The reason being the Gen 5 LT1 can not reach MBT on 93 with it's high compression.
