In my case #1 was already true. I would buy a new car every year or 2, so now I have to buy her a new car every year or two too. What's funny is, we just bought her a new car, and its the EXACT SAME CAR she had but it changed color...
I think for most it really comes down to how much the purchase will impact your finances. If the impact is high, then make a plan and work towards it.

Haha 5 was almost the option but I came to my sense!! Solid advice here. We did fight about the financial impact but we’ve agreed. I have a plan in place to save money and fight with the dealership until they get my payments to where I want. We’ll see, I have to save and watch for deals.
