A dealer could deny a warranty claim if detected and the TB was the cause of the problem. But as stated, the TM TB appears exactly as a stock unit and it would be very difficult to detect. It is also very easy to replace before going to the dealer. I am not sure how much actual HP you would pick up, I have seen 5-7 HP increases on a dyno. The main benefit is a somewhat sharper throttle response in the low and mid range. In my opinion it is a cost effective mod.
