If the AFM valves decide to rattle down the road, then I think I will buy it because the X pipe comes with a pair of AFM valves. I heard Chevy replaces the whole catback if the AFM valves break or rattle.
PPS. If you want your system even louder, pull fuse #51 and the NPP valves will stay open 24/7.

I don't want it louder...with primary cat deletes it's screams when open. I tuned my NPP valves so they open and close how I want them too in various modes. Touring and Sport the valves open above 3k rpm. Track mode I have them programmed to stay open under all conditions and gears.
My A8 doesn't shift like a stock SS anymore. I have AFM disabled and the converter doesn't lock part throttle until 8th gear @ 55mph. So all it does is shift without the extra bullshit from AFM kicking in and out or the converter locking in second gear on. I can be cruising at 35 mph, give it 1/4 throttle and rpms jump to 2400rpm and it pulls. No waiting for a converter to unlock. It's how the A8 should be but the reason why GM doesn't program it that way is due to fuel mileage. Between the Whipple, E85, and my Trans tune, I average 15mpg ,23mpg HWY. Don't care tho because it's not my daily.
