I can't imagine having this exhaust (or any) with an auto tranny since the car is constantly fighting you to put the car into whatever gear makes sense from a green new deal standpoint unless you're stretching it out. Auto trannies sound like crap when they are going through the gears compared to manuals, but that's my opinion.
With the Flowmaster American Thunder, I can notice a noise when the valves close, but it's more of a different sound than OEM. When I go outside the car, I could be convinced that the valves were slightly buzzing. But it is nothing like the DEFECTIVE GM valves that clearly rattle and can be heard from inside the car anytime the valves are closed. I still had this issue even after the dealer put their epoxy sh!t on the exhaust to fix an obvious engineering defect, that is within the emissions system. GM engineers make a collosal screw up; answer: put some silly putty in there.
I decided to buy an aftermarket axle back which I'm happy with even though it was delivered with rust and corrosion. Damn they just beat you down until you're ready to say yessa!
