The #1 upgrade you get in the 1LE is the rear differential. Not only is it the electronic diff, the case is SUBSTANTIALLY more heavy duty in the 1LE (has the same center section as the ZL1)
The standard SS rear end has a design that is showing some problems when guys start putting some power into the cars.
Beyond that, the upgrade in the wheels, tires and brakes would cost substantially more that the price difference.
If you are looking for a 1LE, if you can find left over 18's you can get a hell of a deal vs ordering a 19
