Congrats on the car and the color!
In late 2004 I was looking to order the new S197 2005 Mustang. I wanted a "low maintenance" color that looked good even when dirty. I initially ordered a silver car. A week or two after putting in the order, I found one on a lot and hated the color when I saw it in person. So I had to scramble and figure out what to change it to. I drove to a dealership that had a variety of colors on the lot. It had recently snowed and the cars were partially covered with melting snow, and most had never been cleaned after coming off the truck. So it was easy to tell which colors hid the dirt well and which did not.
The yellow was one of the best at hiding dirt and I decided on that. When I asked the salesman to change to yellow, he resisted, saying I might not be happy with it. "It's not stealthy" is one thing he said. And then he said something like "it's like being out drinking and it looks great while you're out, but when you see it in the morning, you ask 'what did I do?'"
But I stuck with the yellow, had that car for 10 years, and never ever regretted the choice. The car was still getting compliments from strangers 10 years later on how good it looked.
Good luck with yours.
