No, airbags didn't deploy but the tow guy said it might be because of the electrical problems. I have no clue and just have to wait for the repair estimate.

3,500 isn't close. Airbags not going off is a good sign for it's future though. The smoke is a question mark.
Here's based on a repair estimate for another 2018 SS 1LE:

So I was off by a couple hundred.. it's $2,440.
