I know many people laugh at a Camaro with a '4-banger' engine, but I tell them to try it before you judge it.

We have Camaro's for all people, from the full tilt ZL1-1LE to the SS's, the 2.0T's, etc.

I don't have a 6th gen, but just for comparison's sake, I have a 5th gen ZL1 M6 for a summer driver and a 2015 Malibu 2.0T for a DD.

The Malibu weigh's in at just over 3,600 lbs which is close to the weight of a LT Camaro. BTW, the Malibu is a 6 speed auto.

Is the performance of the 2.0T the same as the ZL1? Heck no. But then again the ZL1 (it's a convertible) weighs in at more than 4200 lbs.

However, that 2.0T in the 3600lb car is downright peppy and it's fun to drive. I can just imagine how much fun a 2.0T 1LE could be. With a M6 trans and lowered just a bit, it would be a blast.

And I still have the ZL1 convertible for those warm summer days when you just need the power.
