It better then the 8 speeds and a few z06 builds are now in the 8.40-8.80 range with stock transmissions. I think the 8.40 pass is on a 1.28 60 foot. Single turbo build launches on alot of boost and two step and still not broke it. The cars that break are those that the tuner is taking all torque management away on the shift throwing too much pressure at it and making it slam on the shift. It doesn’t need all that to go fast and much safer to let it dip 100-200 lbs of torque. I added very little pressure to my tune mostly for part throttle and left wot stock as it hits just fine as it is.

Thanks for that insight. My tuner tried pushing it pretty hard by dropping a few pulley sizes and it showed 950 RWTQ mid pull on the dyno and shut it down due to what seemed very much like trans slipping. Being a PD blower the power obviously came in really quick, and it just seemed to not be able to hold it. I’d like to see if we can push it a little more, maybe not all the way like we tried the first time, but gain a little more. That or maybe we’ll switch to TT, still investigating that though.
