That's the point !!! The orders are all over the place. For 2018 Zl1 and ZL1 1LE, we were told they would not be delivered in the winter and early production was March. Some peeps had their cars sitting on lots at the factory for weeks waiting for delivery. You don't want your car delivered in the winter....its just going to sit in your garage anyway so wait for spring/summer.
I ordered mine June 2017. I didn't get a build # til October and the TPW was assigned in March 2018 for a build in April. Delivery was in June.....700 kms from me because that's where the dealer with allocation was located.
I tried the GM website to track my car....useless. The GM helpdesk was good but you need a build # for them to track. My dealer was the best source of info.
Cars are delivered in batches via rail to a delivery point. Then shipped by truck to final destination. Canada is a very small market for these cars and we basically get them when we get them.
Same thing happened to us with the deliveries. The US models were built quicker and shipped faster. Unfortunately, its just the way it is.
The car is worth the wait !!! If you cancel your order you may not get another chance.
Patience is key. If you have a build #....you will get your car
Also, there were only 200 total ZL1s allotted in Canada for 2018, 49 of them were 1LEs
