Two of the "best" cars I've owned were the worst for quality as far as problems experienced. 2013 Audi S4 and a 2014 Chevy SS. But a great dealership experience and two really awesome cars made up for it. Never stranded or towed just things that bugged me, some of which people probably wouldn't have noticed. I'm picky on fit and finish and NVH/BSR issues.
I had the doors refit on my 2017 Lacrosse simply because I'm picky about greenhouse moldings lining up perfectly. Most people wouldn't have thought twice about it. So I realize many of the complaints I have are me being picky. Now I should mention the EPS went out on both cars. The Audi in the first 300 miles. It was Audi's first attempt at EPS......swing and a miss.
That's part of the problem with surveys.
