I have some matte PPF for my hood, I'm trying to decide on whether to remove the black vinyl first though, car is a SS 1LE in Nightfall Grey, so I think the matte hood might look better w/o the black vinyl.
I did the front of my car myself with gloss PPF and am a little sorry I did. It came out pretty good but not quite perfect and it took me all f#$in' day. Saved a ton of cash though, spend $600 on PPF and would have spent $3kish for it all installed. If I were to do it again I'd do it all myself except the front bumper.
