Yeah I knew something wasn't quite right and the more I listened it sounded like a pulley amplifying the noise...kind of wierd actually. So I pulled the intake elbow and belt off, then started rotating pullies and the tensioner was just grinding metal to metal.

I am also going to put a longer belt on. The tensior is 7/8 from Max and the pulley with the slide adjuster is all the way to the left making the belt a total PIA to put on. The belt is a 816, gonna try a 820 green.

I did take it out for a spin for the first time yesterday since it was around 40 degrees and the roads were clean from a previous rain. It pulls strong from everywhere....The car drives like stock and you wouldn't be able to tell the Whipple is there if it didn't have that part throttle whine. What I like about the Whipple is how it delivers power. It has the PD low end but honestly feels more geared toward midrange and top end... It just keeps pulling harder and harder as it revs. 6500rpm is really short shifting it by how it feels...I think it needs spun to 7k but probably not a good idea with DOD lifters.
