You never had this problem because you keep the key in your pocket. And you will never have a problem, until something happens and for some reason or circumstance you can't even imagine right now, you or someone else drives off with the fob not in the car. I never had a problem either, and don't intend for it to happen, but for $45 bucks, I'd rather not have to worry if that day ever occurs.
