I just leave it in auto for much faster shifts.
I run everything full off (hold the middle button for 7 seconds or so) or I put the ZL1 in Track/Race. Other modes can bog (with too much intervention retarding throttle) as I leave a slow corner.
Full off is a challenge, but seems faster. For me, I tend to overdrive with everything off. I get less consistency. Fastest run, but more throwaway runs.
Track / Race is a good compromise.
I leave suspension in Track unless it is a bumpy surface where Tour or Sport seems to hold better.
