I had Nitto 555Rs on my 2016 Camaro and they would/did not dead hook on the street. They might have with a little burnout heat, but I never abused my car like that and never street race. But, on the drag strip they dead hooked and my amateur 60 foot times were awesomely good, but the 8A in my 2SS was just an awesome drag race car. Sometimes wish I had it back because I know my 1le won't satisfy on the drag strip...and that's ok.
