It's my strong belief that it's done out of insecurity, because they can't afford a Z28 or ZL1 - although the claim is that they could easily be purchased if desired. I have zero issues with 4 or 6 cylinder Camaros, they definitely serve a purpose. As pertaining to the "old school" thing didn't older Camaros come in 6 cylinder format also? Couldn't you buy a 69 or 70 6 cylinder?
