A10 is in its own league for racing. I just got mne last year and only had a chance to do 1 Autox but our autoX is set up as a short mini track layout , not a traditional parking lot. Last 2 events were cancelled due to a weather being way to cold and even snowy in some parts of Ohio but it seems that Auto mode does very well in gear selection. I tried in both and maybe if you leave it in 2nd for s ashort course it might do the trick.
I have BMR springs, -3 alignment, also 325s NT01 and 315 up front and the biggest issue with this car is getting or finding good traction , especially on cooler mornings. Do not worry about transmission as this is not your usual Auto gearbox, worry about fidnidng a good suspension setting and finding that sweet traction
