Yes and no, For me, autocross is a social event to be with friends and to try to get the most out of what I have. I'm not going to nationals, I don't care about a club trophy, I didn't prep to the class either. The only modification is the 19" wheels. In that case, I'd pick tires for the big tracks and let autocross run times fall where they may. But I'd definitely be looking wider than 275.
