I have NOT relocated the stock IAT sensor, which on the SS is in the MAS. So I did not follow the second suggestion.

It would have been easier for me to understand this:

The stock SS needs a 3 wire 3 bar MAP which is OEM equipped on the Gen 5 ZL-1.

Now please help me understand the T-MAP,

I understand on an LT4 this probably is after the the blower and intercooler and GM needs to know the temp of the air as it enters the head.

Looking at the break out harness:
"The DSX IAT/baro Breakout harness allows you to remove the IAT from the MAF assembly on newer vehicles so you can place it closer to the throttle for applications using methanol injection to meet fueling requirements. It also serves to break out the barometric pressure sensor, which allows the calibrator to restore proper calculations in the ECM for pressure ratio on boosted applications. IAT sensor and 3 bar MAP sensor included. This harness is entirely plug and play... No splicing of any factory wiring harnesses required."

So as I understand if I went to a PD, I would want the T-MAP as the proper engine intake temp is after the blower and intercoolers.

I have a centri, so the only benefit that I see it regards to IAT is: if I did a meth injection, I probably want to relocate my IAT temp from MAS to the T-MAP at the manifold (post meth injection). An 8 point meth injection could not use this as it would be at the port.

Now my question: What does the baro breakout achieve? I assume on the SS the baro is at the MAF. This seems to imply that OEM on the SS the baro sensor is internal to the intake air stream. IE it really is not a baro but baro - restiction of the airbox and filter. I can then see why it should be broken out for the centri install, as the MAS is seeing boost.

The opposite would be true on a PD and or lt4 conversion the SS baro located in the MAS is still reading baro - restriction in the filter.

Thanks for the help. I think I'm slowly understanding this.
