Stand alone fuel system would be ideal. Of course there are things that need to be addressed to run a shot safely. The old standard was to pull 2 degrees timing per 50hp, 1 heat range colder for a 100, 2 for a 150, 3 for 200+ and non projected tip. Window switch is a good idea as well. In 2018 Nitrous can be a very safe way to add power with all the controllers out there on the market. The LT1 should handle Nitrous better then boost simply because you are not dealing with the same fuel system limitations as Forced Induction...not to mention High Compression and Nitrous work well together.
