Lingenfelter Dual In-Tank fuel system rocks!
Previously we were running an in-tank ZL1 pump and Inline Weldon 1100 with -8 lines to feed the LT4 HP pump, 8 - LT4 injectors, and 8 - 600cc/min port injectors (production hellcat). We run both DI and port injection to meet the fueling demands of this Livernois Performance built 416
With the previous fuel system we were struggling to maintain 40psi on the low side and keep A/F ratio safe at the end of a run.
We needed something better and I saw Lingenfelter's advertisement for the dual in tank system - phone call, credit card, and a couple days later we had a new option.
The Lingenfelter system has 2 - 450 l/hr pumps in the stock basket. It requires some additional wiring, but otherwise was pretty easy to install.
Now with the dual in-tank pump system the low side fuel pressure remained at 75psi+ for the pull (which was dyno logged) but from the HP tuner log you can see that we we able to hold HP fuel pressure and a 12.0 A/F ratio across the pull to 7K RPM with up to 252 kPa of manifold pressure (22psi boost).
So - after many months of headaches - the car is finally staying WOT with the TH400 transmission and we have enough fuel to feel safe. Initially I think the converter might be too loose but won't know for sure until we get to the track. Hopefully next week we can get out for a couple of shakedown passes with the new combination (my favorite part).
