The LS7 and any of the LS series engines are way out of date for use in the 6th gen Camaro, much less a replacement for the Z/28. Plus the SS 1LE already tops the Z/28 in many areas and the ZL1-1LE tops it in every area. There was no reason to make a 6th gen Z/28.
