Some possible info about the dreaded TC Shudder Q1 2019 update that is coming.

A Head Mechanic at a Chevy dealership states that GM is coming out with a TCU flash Q1 2019 as the update to the TC Shudder. The Head Mechanic further stated the problem isn’t the actual converter or trans itself but that it’s the programming of the TCU causing what some would call gear searching, which in turn causes the shudder. The mechanic even stated the fix will apply to not only Camaros but Corvettes, Silverados and anything else running the A8 with associated TCU tune.

The TC Shudder has been found to be rectified by some HP Tuners users after adjusting certain settings which does corroborate this news.

For those affected with the TC Shudder and waiting for this new fix, it is unknown at this time if the new procedure will inspect and replace any damaged/burnished units as well as if this will be a recall or TSB.
