DO NOT PLEAD GUILTY !!! In NJ you can plead to a reduced offense call "Unsafe Driving" it's no points just a fine ~$300 Right before the start of court the clerk will ask if anyone has a lawyer or if anyone wants to speak to the Prosecutor, get in line to speak to the Prosecutor and ASK him you'd like to plea to Unsafe Safe Driving ... look it up on Google.
Caveat you can only use this plea 3 times in your lifetime so use the plea judiciously for those tickets that carry alot of points or when any points would cost you your license. It can’t be used for DWI
