I do agree it might cause some issues vs just stock but,

They have to prove that what you did caused damage(magnuson Moss Warranty Act) fuel trims will prove you are fine when they submit the ECU data.

If your engine blows up they have to send the data in to get work approval. So again pretty safe on this one.
